How to Make Moringa Mint Tea
Making Moringa Mint Tea is simple and easy. You need to boil water, add the ingredients and let it steep for a few minutes before you enjoy it.
- 8 cups of water
- 4 tablespoons of honey or sugar (or both)
- 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice or lime juice (optional)
- 8 to 10 leaves of fresh, organic Moringa leaves
- 1/2 cup chopped ginger root
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh mint leaves
- Cinnamon sticks
- Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
- Add the leaves and stir.
- Put the tea in a mug and cover with boiling water.
- Add honey to taste, if you like it sweet.
- Let steep for 5 to 10 minutes depending on personal preference.
- Once steeped, remove the tea leaves from your cup and enjoy!

How should you get Moringa?
Where can you buy or grow Moringa?
The best way to eat Moringa is fresh (it just tastes better).
You can find it at farmers markets and grocery stores selling product grown organically in Mexico, India, Bangladesh and Africa.
In the United States, you can find it at Whole Foods Market or order it online from most retailers.
If you have an open space in your yard, then you’re in luck!
It’s possible to grow your own Moringa tree with a few basic supplies: potting soil for planting, stakes for supporting the plant as it grows higher on its pole (or trellis), and fertilizer (Moringa trees are nutrient hungry).
I like growing it in the backyard, it’s a pretty big tree – so provides some shade for the kids while they are running around.
How should you get Mint?
If you are thinking about how to get mint, there are two options for you.
The first one is to grow it in your garden. Mint is a type of herb and it thrives in various climates and can be cultivated indoors.
The second option is to buy it from the store. There are many places that sell this type of herb including grocery stores, specialty shops and online retailers, depending on what kind of mint you want.
Mint is often found in many dishes like salads, sauces, and desserts.
It is grown commercially in the United States and Canada but can be also cultivated at home.
Growing mint may not be for everyone, but if you can, you should.
This is a great project to do with your kids and it will have a recurring benefits as the Mint plants can continue to provide you with fresh mint year-round.
Growing mint in your backyard
You need to get some seeds or plantlets from a plant nursery or garden center.
If you are starting off with seeds, you need to soak them overnight before sowing.
You would need a 6×6 foot or larger space in order to grow your own mint if you want this to be a good, recurring system.
But we’ve seen Mint grown just in a cute little pot on the windowsill!
Mint will also needs lots of sun, which means that the best time to plant it is in the spring when the weather isn’t too hot yet.
You should also choose a spot that gets at least six hours of sun each day and has loose soil that drains well so that it doesn’t rot or mildew.
Place the seed on a potting mix with holes and cover it up with a thin layer of soil; tamp it gently so that they stay put. Then water it thoroughly until moistened and place them in a shady area outdoors.

Both of these herbs are PACKED full with different benefits.
What we are used to seeing when it comes to these herbs is that they’re both usually filled with benefits, but the benefits counteract each other.
Meaning that even though both of the herbs are probably great – the combination isn’t.
This isn’t what is happening with Moringa and Mint.
First, they make an incredibly delicious tea together (that is a staple in my house)
Secondly, the benefits they both provide overlap!
